    Leaders of a construction project or a construction company build and cultivate a strong environment for their workplace. The best leaders promote transparency, growth and an entrepreneurial mindset. This session evaluates what makes a winning environment and the strategies managers and executives can use to build a climate that helps their team thrive.

    People are creatures of habit, and successful construction project managers and executives are no different. This session looks at the psychology of habits and how managers can train themselves to build more successful behavior in order to lead successful teams through vision, balance, discipline and proper perspective.

    Highly efficient teams in the construction world are hard to come by. What causes a team to lose focus, decrease productivity, and function inefficiently? This session will review the factors that can cause a team to be dysfunctional and present tools on how to rebuild your teams so they can be the best they can be.

    People make decisions every day, most learning to do so at a young age. Some make decisions using emotion, some use passion, some use logic, and most rely on past experiences. But many people have not been trained on how to truly make decisions based on the importance of specific advantages of the situation at hand. This session will review the theory of Choosing by Advantages and relate these strategies to construction situations.

    How do you develop and maintain a motivated workforce? It may not be the way that you think, as many try to drive human behavior with the “carrot and the stick” approach, but research shows that is not a long-term solution. This course will review the various theories of motivation and discuss the intrinsic rewards that truly motivate people in the workplace as well as strategies construction firms can use to build an outstanding culture.
